raya

Raya has been engulfed by the outdoors since she could remember and has always had a deep love for the wilderness and outdoor sports! Being the oldest of two siblings makes her a stellar nanny and has encouraged her love and appreciation for kids. Raya will be attending Prescott College in the fall to pursue interests in psychology and adventure education. Gravity Camp will be the first out of many steps towards the future life and work she desires. Raya is excited to have a blast, and a ton of fun everyday at camp with the kiddos!

noah

Noah was introduced to climbing in 2015 at Gold Crush Climbing Gym. He immediately wanted to learn as much as possible about indoor and outdoor climbing and loved the process of getting stronger and learning new techniques. Noah’s goals are to inspire the kids at Gravity Camp to want to push themselves and work to accomplish things that they didn't think were possible, all while having a ton of fun! Noah's favorite things to do are camping, climbing, motorcycling, and especially exploring in the woods.

Byron and his wife April raise two not-so-young boys and an absurd amount of animals in Nevada City.  He teaches high school, physics and calculus, at a small school working to rebuild the meaning of education.  As a climber, his interests are similarly community-oriented; he would much rather spend the day teaching new climbers how to enjoy the mountains safely and conscientiously than project his own routes.  That is in part why Byron coaches the youth climbing team at Gold Crush and works as a routesetter.  The other reason is simply that climbing is his favorite vocabulary and one that brings all the important things in his life together.

Ronja

Ronja's passion for aerial arts began with a single class she took at age 35 in Seattle. She was and is completely smitten with this art form and started teaching aerial silks classes in Hawaii, where she lived at the time, in 2015. Now a teacher at The Aerial Lab, she is excited to share the joy of climbing, hanging and spinning on aerial apparatus with Gravity Camp students this summer.

Fun fact: Ronja grew up in Germany, so close to the French border that going out to dinner in France was a common occurrence in her family. She is fluent in German, English and Italian.
